If you’ve never purchased coffee from any online retailer, Amazon or anything else for that matter, you might be a little bit skeptical about buying coffee online.

And that’s pretty understandable.

I remember I was also feeling a little unsure about it the first time I bought coffee online instead of in a grocery store, coffee shop, or another brick and mortar place where I could just see the coffee, pick it up and take it home.

So I want to let you know right off the bat in this article, yes it’s good to buy coffee on Amazon!

Is it Good to Buy Coffee on Amazon?

In fact, there are some awesome things about buying coffee on Amazon that are much better than buying it in person, especially if you have a Prime account.

And I’ll tell you about those too a bit further down.

But first and foremost, let me address one of the main things people seem to be concerned about when considering buying coffee on Amazon…

Is Coffee Fresh When Purchased On Amazon?

Let me just go ahead and answer this for you right now.

Yes, coffee purchased on Amazon is definitely fresh.

I have purchased so many coffees there in the last two years.

In fact, nearly all of the coffees that I’ve been drinking for the last two years have com from amazon.com.

And I’ve never had one single coffee where the freshness of it has been in question, or it tasted like it wasn’t fresh.

Another thing is that the roaster always writes the roasting date on the bag, and on average, the roasting date has been within or around a month of when the coffee arrives at my door.

A month might seem like some time, but if a bag of coffee is unopened, it stays fresh for around five months.

I have certainly never bought one that’s been more than two months since the roasting date.

If the bag is opened, it keeps for about one month. So it’s really reduced after you open a bag of coffee.

But before it’s opened, a bag of coffee stays fresh for quite a while.

So once again, yes, coffee on Amazon is always fresh, or at least it always has been in my experience.

I’ve never once had a bag of expired coffee from Amazon.

And you have no reason to worry about that.

In fact, some of the freshest coffee I’ve tried has been from Amazon!

What it really depends on so much more is the brand of coffee you buy from.

Is It Safe?

And if you’re wondering if it’s safe to buy coffee online, then let me totally assure that it’s quite safe to buy coffee online, at least if it’s from Amazon or another retailer that you’re certain isn’t a scam.

With Amazon, you’re totally safe with payment, security, and of course with the coffee itself and the freshness and quality, like I mentioned in the last section.

Of course, I can’t speak for all online retailers, as I honestly haven’t tried a ton of others apart from Amazon.

But when it comes to Amazon, it’s more than safe, it’s a great place to buy from!

Why It’s A Great Idea To Buy Coffee On Amazon

So now that you know there’s nothing really bad about it, let’s talk about why it’s actually a great ideal to purchase coffee on Amazon!

There are at least a few reasons I can think of.

For one, you don’t have to go anywhere for it!

You don’t have to drive, use any gas, or use that extra time to leave the house.

The convenience factor is pretty high, we could say.

Another reason is because you have so many amazing options for coffee, and we could practically say that most of them aren’t available in grocery stores.

This is probably the best reason out of them all.

Because, let’s just be honest, grocery store coffee is maybe 20 or 25% pretty good coffee, and about 75% cheap, poor tasting nastiness.

You do have some good options at the grocery store, but not very much! The shelves are filled with Folgers and Maxwell House…

Amazon has very many amazing and delicious options for coffee to purchase, from great companies and roaster who have high quality and fresh coffee that I don’t know where to find anywhere else.

And I have very many recommendations you could take a look at in my reviews section!

Lastly, if you have a Prime account with Amazon, the shipping is really quick!

It only takes one to two days for the coffee to get to your doorstep if you have Prime. At least for most coffees.

Some coffees aren’t under the Prime status, so they take the “normal” shipping time of about a week.

And if you don’t have Prime that’s not a big problem either, they will still ship to you in about a week, which isn’t bad when you consider shipping times of three to four weeks, like from some other companies.

Conclusion

So if you’ve ever wondered or been hesitant about buying coffee on Amazon, this is just a quick article to let you know that, yes, it’s ok to buy coffee there.

And in my opinion, it’s more than just ok, it’s a great way to get new coffees that you might not be able to find anywhere else!

I order my coffee from there all the time and have been satisfied every time!

Unless I just don’t like the taste of the coffee itself, which isn’t Amazon’s problem 🙂

I hope this article was very helpful for you, and if you have any questions or comments please let me know!

I also hope that if you get some coffee on Amazon, you enjoy it as much as I do.

So with that here’s a recommendation for a great coffee you can get there!
